Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how user information is handled in Modern Style | Shijia Qimen.

1. Basic policy

合同会社Atbase (“Company”) handles user information only to the extent necessary to provide the Service and manages personal information in accordance with Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other applicable laws.

2. Information entered for a reading

The Service asks for the following information to perform a reading:

• Action date
• Action start time
• Location used for the reading
• Optional manually entered longitude
• Current latitude and longitude obtained from the browser when the user grants permission
• Country, region (prefecture/state), and city/municipality selected by the user
• Purpose of the reading

The basic Shijia Qimen reading does not ask for your name, birth date, or email address.

3. Transmission and storage of reading inputs

The current Service builds the hourly chart and evaluates directions within the user’s browser. Coordinates obtained through GPS are used in the browser for local solar-time correction, and the Service currently does not provide a function that sends or stores those coordinates on the Company’s server as reading history. For Japan, the selected prefecture and municipality may be queried against Geolonia’s public address-data API to obtain municipality and location information. U.S. state and major-city coordinates used by the selector are stored directly in the page data.

The current Service also does not continuously store reading inputs in browser localStorage or similar storage.

4. Information obtained through inquiries

When you contact us, we may obtain your email address, name or organization name (optional), inquiry content, and other information needed to reply.

This information is used to answer inquiries, verify identity where necessary, investigate problems, make required contact, and handle related matters.

5. Analytics

The Service uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4), provided by Google LLC, to understand usage and improve the Service. GA4 may use cookies and similar technologies to collect information such as user counts, sessions, approximate region, browser/device information, page views, and interaction events.

To analyze reading frequency and intervals between uses, the Service stores an anonymous usage count and last-use date in browser localStorage. Custom events sent to Google Analytics may include reading purpose, usage count, and usage interval, but do not include name, birth date, email address, or similar identifying information.

6. Purposes of use

When the Company obtains personal information, it uses it for the following purposes:

• Providing and operating the Service
• Responding to inquiries
• Responding to bugs, outages, and security issues
• Improving service quality
• Preventing abuse
• Actions required by law

7. Provision to third parties

The Company does not provide personal data to third parties without the individual’s consent, except where required by law, necessary to protect life, body, or property, or otherwise permitted by law.

8. Outsourcing

The Company may outsource all or part of information handling for service operation, server management, inquiry response, or similar purposes. In such cases, appropriate contractors will be selected and supervised as necessary.

9. Security measures

The Company takes necessary and appropriate security measures to prevent unauthorized access, leakage, loss, or damage to personal information it handles.

10. Disclosure, correction, suspension, etc.

If you wish to request disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, erasure, suspension of third-party provision, or similar action concerning personal data held by the Company, contact us through the Contact page. After identity verification, we will respond in accordance with applicable law.

11. Changes to this Policy

This Policy may be revised in response to changes in the Service, analytics or other external services, or applicable law. When a material change is made, the Company will endeavor to provide clear notice on the Service.
